Meet the group Sabaly and let yourself be under the spell of their percussions and a warm and catchy rhythm.
Sabaly stands as a bridge between Africa and France. This marriage between electric and African instruments is a successful blend of tradition and modernity for a band that wants to represent an open and cosmopolitan world.
Issouf Monkoro, the charismatic singer of the group, is a real mood driver and his joie de vivre is communicative.
With a powerful and warm voice, he carries lyrics written in French and in djoula, a dialect of Burkina Faso.
Inspired by life and everyday life, his songs deliver with sincerity and simplicity a message of love, peace and wisdom.
Sabaly's music has its roots in Africa, but is curious by nature and is making its way around the world to be tinged with rock, funk and reggae.
Her rhythmic, festive and even explosive repertoire is a real invitation to dance. The dialogue between the different instruments is constant and offers a great place for improvisation and the magic of the moment.
Balafon, N'goni, N'tama and other typical African percussion instruments carry the listener on purple-coloured lands.
In djoula Sabaly means the way of Zen and it is in this state of mind that the members of the group decided to live their music.
