"Le malade malgré lui", an adaptation of Molière, recounts the improbable meeting of the "Malade Imaginaire" (The Hypochondriac) with the "Médecin Malgré Lui" (the Doctor in Spite of Himself).
A refreshing adaptation of two of Molière's major works combined into one new one. The story of the inevitable meeting of a sick man who is not really sick and a doctor who is not really a doctor, a merry anachronistic romp in the style of Monty Python, a troubling analogy with our times, when no one is really who they say they are but everyone ends up convincing themselves that they are, a zany adventure that blasts classical theatre to remind us that appearances often take precedence over reality.
