La Plagne is committed to an ambitious goal: a zero-waste mountain by 2030! AND YOU? Join us on June 10.
Our goal? To take care of our mountains, to better understand them, and to take action to reduce waste at source.

WHAT IS CARAC'?
Characterization enables a detailed analysis of the waste collected: total weight, weight by type (plastic, wood, textile, cardboard, metal, glass, rubber, other), monitoring of indicator waste (specific to tourist facilities, specific to local business activities, etc.). Thanks to this, we'll have a precise assessment enabling us to work on an action plan to reduce waste at source.
In practice: a scale and a large tarpaulin allow us to characterize the waste collected, in a fun and friendly atmosphere!

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
To help reduce waste, please bring your own gloves (gardening type) and tote bags.
We'll fill in for those who don't.
We advise you to bring sneakers, mountain boots, fleece, cap, sunglasses, sun cream & water bottle!
