It is essential to view the human being as a whole, a unified entity in its own right. The body is like a chain; the moment one link fails, the entire chain risks collapsing.

The body is a constant interplay of balance and imbalance. Like a watchmaker, the osteopath restores balance to the body, adjusting the “cogs” while respecting the tissues. This is done with one of the core concepts—and a founding pillar of osteopathy—in mind: “The body possesses its own capacity for self-healing.”
