La Plagne, a Flocon Vert-certified destination
La Plagne has been awarded the Flocon Vert certification, a label for mountain tourism destinations committed to sustainable development. More than just recognition of the actions taken, this distinction highlights a collective effort toward continuous improvement aimed at preserving our region, supporting its evolution, and ensuring that our mountains remain a legacy for future generations.
Our Quality Commitments
Certified with the Qualité Tourisme™ label since 2016, the La Grande Plagne Tourist Office places visitor satisfaction at the heart of its priorities through its Quality Strategy. This recognition attests to the quality of our hospitality as well as the information and services we provide.
To build on this momentum, the Tourist Office is participating in the “Destination d’Excellence” initiative, a new national standard that raises the bar for quality, accessibility, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement. Through this initiative, the goal is to gradually bring together all tourism stakeholders in the region around shared commitments, in order to promote La Plagne as an increasingly exemplary destination.

Champagny-en-Vanoise, Land of Mountaineering
"Cœur de Vanoise," comprising the municipalities of Champagny-en-Vanoise, Le Planay, and Pralognan-la-Vanoise, is the fourth region to be awarded the “Land of Mountaineering” designation.
The goal? To implement concrete actions to preserve and promote mountaineering, which has been listed as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2019.
Land of Art and History
La Plagne lies at the heart of the “Land of Art and History” of the Upper Valleys of Savoie, which includes the Tarentaise alongside the Maurienne, the Beaufortain, and the Val d’Arly.
Administered by the FACIM Foundation, this national designation highlights the region’s rich architectural, cultural, and landscape heritage—from Baroque art to the history of winter sports resorts. It helps raise awareness of this heritage and provides both residents and visitors with the tools to understand it.
La Plagne: Remarkable Architecture
La Plagne has held the “Remarkable Contemporary Architecture” designation since 2003. This distinction from the Ministry of Culture recognizes the resort’s architectural and historical value, particularly through its urban planning and its iconic buildings from the 1960s and 1970s. From Plagne Centre to Aime 2000 and its famous “Paquebot des Neiges,” this architecture bears witness to the history and innovation of the first major integrated mountain resorts.

Tourisme & Handicap
Tourisme & Handicap is a national certification program dedicated to ensuring the accessibility of tourist sites and activities for people with disabilities (mobility, visual, hearing, or intellectual). It allows visitors to easily identify establishments adapted to their needs and supports professionals in improving the accessibility of their facilities, services, and hospitality.
Committing to this initiative means helping to make La Plagne more accessible and inclusive, while meeting the expectations of a diverse clientele.
