With the arrival of spring, conditions become simply idyllic: slopes still covered in snow, generous sunshine and longer days. Spring skiing means a softer, brighter mountain, almost all to yourself.

Summer is full of outdoor adventures! Cycling, hiking, climbing, white-water rafting... all come together to recharge your batteries and enjoy unforgettable experiences.

Finally, autumn reveals a more secret, but just as magical side. The landscapes take on a thousand colors, and hiking becomes a truly timeless experience.

Then it's up to you to find the most beautiful walking routes. And if you're in the mood for a bit of height, the good news is that your dog can use the pedestrian-accessible gondolas in the La Plagne area, as well as all the free shuttle buses between sites (just be sure to keep your dog on a leash in the villages and on public transport!)

As soon as the first snowflakes fall, our teams spring into action to keep our roads clear.

However, to ensure your safety on the roads of Savoie, it’s essential to equip your vehicle with four 3PMSF-certified winter tires or to have removable anti-skid devices (metal snow chains or snow socks) on at least two driven wheels.

Feel free to follow our tips and tutorials to install your chains stress-free.

You’ve reached your destination, and now all you have to do is find a place to park your car. Free, paid, covered, or open-air parking lots… It couldn’t be easier! Choose the right village, and you’ll find all the information you need about our parking options.

Need to charge your car? Find the electric charging station closest to you.

Are you more of a motorhome or van person? Enjoy La Plagne at our traditional campgrounds or our “caravaneiges” (our ski-in/ski-out campgrounds).

Of course, the car is the most common way to travel between our villages—and for good reason: Montalbert, Montchavin-Les Coches, Champagny-en-Vanoise, and the high-altitude areas are far apart by road, with no direct shuttle service connecting them. It’s best to know this before you arrive!

Within each village, however, local shuttles and buses will take you where you need to go: no need to drive for your daily trips. Additionally, taxi services are also available if needed.

In winter, you can also hit the slopes! Whether you’re into downhill or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, yooning, or other winter sports… reach our villages via the trails. In summer, biking takes over, allowing you to get around both on the roads and on the trails.

Here, whether it’s winter or summer, our diet revolves largely around 🧀 cheese 🧀. Raclette, tartiflette, and fondue—you know the drill. But are you familiar with Savoie’s lesser-known culinary secrets?

Try crozets (our local pasta), farçon, matafan (a large savory or sweet crepe), our charcuterie, diots or pormoniers (Savoyard sausages), and of course our… cheeses!

La Plagne has long been considered one of the best resorts for learning to ski, and to get started in the best conditions we've created CoolSki. These are protected areas reserved for beginners, offering safe skiing circuits.

All you have to do is choose your route and put on your skis!

Ready to strap on your skis or snowboard? To help you learn or progress, trust our instructors and find the snow sports school that's right for you.

There are many ski lockers, depending on where you are. Ski rental stores often offer them. Don't hesitate to ask them directly.
