Vintage Historic Train – European Heritage Days

With four daily departures, the Aime-la-Plagne train station will be an ideal starting point for traveling to Landry, Bourg-Saint-Maurice, or Moûtiers. Residents and visitors will thus be able to explore the other towns in the valley without using their cars, traveling aboard a mode of transportation that is itself a piece of heritage, public, and carbon-free.
Schedule for Stops at Aime-la-Plagne
The historic train will stop at Aime-la-Plagne at the following times:
• 11:56 a.m. – 11:59 a.m., bound for Landry and Bourg-Saint-Maurice;
• 2:43 p.m. – 2:46 p.m., bound for Moûtiers;
• 4:04 p.m. – 4:07 p.m., bound for Landry and Bourg-Saint-Maurice;
• 5:53 p.m. – 5:56 p.m., bound for Moûtiers, Albertville, and Chambéry.

The driver’s cab of the historic CC 6558 locomotive will be open to the public free of charge for a special event this afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Railway maneuvers to reposition the locomotive at the front of the train will also be on display each time the train arrives.

The train will consist of four UIC passenger cars dating from the 1970s and will be hauled by the BB 25660 electric locomotive, preserved by the APCC 6570.
The APMFS’s CC 6558, another iconic locomotive of France’s railway heritage, will also accompany the train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice.
With their distinctive compartments and seats, the historic cars will allow passengers to experience the atmosphere of trains from days gone by while enjoying the landscapes of the Tarentaise.
