Climbing - Bureau des Guides

Sessions last half a day, and whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, you can choose between a group or individual session. The Tarentaise region boasts some very fine climbing schools where the whole family will find something to suit them:

EQUIPMENT
We provide a helmet and harness. You'll be roped up and insured.
You'll need to bring climbing shoes or spiked sneakers, hiking pants or shorts, a sweater or fleece jacket, a windbreaker, and a picnic for the day's long routes.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
For beginners, the emphasis is on foot placement technique, belaying, roping and top-roping. The aim is to build confidence in yourself and in the equipment.
Later, we'll work on movement and tackle abseiling, lead climbing and belaying.

IDEAS RECEIVED
* The activity is dangerous: during the activity, you are roped up and connected to the rock by approved anchors. Every belayer has a reliable belay system.
* You need to be exceptionally fit: climbing is fast-paced and fun from day one.
* Routes are of all levels, from beginner to advanced.
* This activity is for adults only: children aged 5 and over will be able to satisfy their urge to climb trees, and adults will rediscover their childlike spirit... An activity to be enjoyed with friends or family.
