The baroque angels of St. Sigismund invite you to rediscover classical and contemporary tunes to the warm sounds of Cyprien's marimba and percussion.
For this second edition, Cyprien Noisette and his singer friend explore the theme of emotion, with an eclectic repertoire that will appeal to the whole family, not just angels.
[Emotion - A transient affective reaction of fairly high intensity, usually provoked by a stimulus from the environment. Synonyms: concussion, shaking, seizure, jolt]
Or passion, transport of the soul, feeling: so many words to describe the intimate human experience that musicians have sought to explore throughout history. By exploring how they have chosen to embody joy and fear, anger and laughter, delight and despair, percussionist Cyprien Noisette and soprano Marie-Cécile Henry-Brossard invite us, through a play of mirrors, to share in the intensity of these moments.
The surprising combination of voice, marimba, vibraphone and various percussion instruments sublimates a vast repertoire, from opera to chanson. Throughout the concert, the artists play and have fun with this singularity, sometimes even swapping roles.
From Purcell to Boris Vian, Schubert to the Beatles, this family-friendly programme explores the infinite richness of our inner universe, questioning our relationship with the world and with others.
