Ice Climbing World Championships
Come cheer on and support our champions at the Ice Climbing World Championships!
From Friday 29 to Sunday 31 January 2027.
Armed with crampons and ice axes, the world’s top climbers from 20 to 25 different nations compete in two events: a “speed” event, which is a vertical sprint on ice, and a “difficulty” event on a mixed route combining dry tooling and ice climbing, billed as the most difficult in the world.
On the men’s side, France’s Louna Ladevant, the reigning world champion, dominates the discipline alongside his brother Tristan. On the women’s side, French climber Marion Salmon-Thomas has made a sensational return to the highest international level by winning gold medals on the world circuit!
