Located in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley, at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, Champagny-en-Vanoise is an ideal setting for a photography contest.

This second edition aims to celebrate the richness of nature and highlight local expertise and tradition in partnership with the Vanoise National Park.

We invite photographers to capture the essence of the Champagny-en-Vanoise region through images that illustrate its many facets.

This free photography contest in Champagny-en-Vanoise is open to all photographers:

Contest Schedule

Starting June 28: The contest begins during Festiv’été.
On the website, links for each theme will be activated so you can submit your photos.

August 11 at 11:59 p.m.: The photo contest closes.

August 19: Announcement of the contest results during International Photography Day.

Contest Rules Contest Prizes

Three Themes

  • Pastoralism and pastures —the focus of this year’s International Year—highlighting traditional know-how and customs. View the photos
  • Water: linked to the “Site Rivières Sauvages” designation in January 2026 for the Remous torrent, one of the few waterways in France to retain a fully natural flow. The water theme highlights waterfalls, rivers, streams, mountain lakes, glaciers, and more. View photos
  • The Vanoise’s iconic animals: Capture the unique wildlife of the Vanoise, where chamois, marmots, and eagles embody the wild and unspoiled spirit of this remarkable natural landscape. View photos

  • An online public vote will determine the “Coup de Cœur” photo.
  • Only one entry per person is allowed.


Winners of the 2026 Photo Contest

A big thank you to the 117 participants who shared their perspectives on Champagny-en-Vanoise through the three themes proposed this year.

For this second edition, the jury selected nine winning photographs—one per theme and per category: Professionals, Amateurs, and Young Talents (under 18).

Exhibition

August 19–28 (every day except Saturday) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Center’s exhibition hall: an exhibition of all the winning photos and a screening of all the participants’ photos.

The Audience's Favorite

The participating photographs were put to an online vote to determine the “People’s Choice Award.”
This year, 455 votes were cast.
