The Lapied family offer us new wildlife documentaries with exceptional sequences filmed over a 10-year period in the Alps.

More than a natural history lesson, this film is a homage to nature. A combination of adrenalin and poetry, it offers us the rare privilege of getting right up close to chamois, eagles, wolves and the other creatures that share their territory. Balancing on the tightrope of life, the animals cross paths and hunt, using all their ingenuity and listening to their instinct as they meet the greatest challenge of all: surviving.

In a dizzying setting that is both hostile and sublime, eagles, foxes, wolves, chamois and ibex challenge each other, playing, fighting, chasing and dodging.
Over a full cycle of the seasons, the mountain wildlife film-makers invite us to see scenes never before filmed in the Alps.

From flowering meadows to winter storms, from tiny insects to the battles of the largest animals, the air vibrates and life is in constant ebullition.
Like a return to our origins, the mountains offer us a scenario that stretches back into the mists of time. With each creature in its own place.
