⛔The RN90 will be closed between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Aime from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

🚗 Traffic to and from the high-altitude resorts and Montalbert

⚠️ Access regulated by the gendarmerie: traffic restrictions may be in place as early as the morning.

👉 High-altitude resorts:

Ascent to La Plagne: road closed from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

No descent permitted from the high-altitude resorts to the valley: from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

👉 Montalbert: Road closed from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

🚫 Closed to all vehicles:

Plagne Villages: from Thursday, July 24 at 8:00 a.m. to Friday, July 25 at 11:00 p.m.
Plagne Soleil (road closed starting at the Plagne Centre roundabout): from Thursday, July 24 at 6:00 PM to Friday, July 25 at 11:00 PM

5. “La Plagne Celebrates Rugby” at the Plagne Villages soccer-rugby field— July 25, 2025, 9:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m.

Introductory sessions, fun workshops, skill games, meet-and-greets with rugby enthusiasts, and on-field demonstrations… A unique opportunity to have fun, discover, or rediscover this iconic sport in an exceptional setting.

Why a rugby village in La Plagne? Because La Plagne is a rugby hotspot! Building on its partnership with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Rugby League, the resort is reaffirming its ambition to host major rugby events by showcasing its high-altitude grass field—a rare and high-quality facility ideal for training camps, tournaments, or large-scale sporting events.

6. Local Cycling Peloton Passes Through —July 25, 2025, ; the peloton is expected to cross the finish line around 3:00 p.m.

50 local cyclists, dressed in La Plagne’s colors, will ride up the climb to La Plagne (from Les Provagnes to Plagne Villages)

The participants are members of local sports clubs: ASC Macôt / Les Diables Bleus / La Plagne Eaux Vives / VEO 2000 / Haute Tarentaise Rugby Club / La Plagne Sports Club / 7th Alpine Chasseurs Battalion / La Plagne-Tarentaise Town Hall Staff

⚠️ Please note: The finish line may be blocked if it becomes overcrowded with spectators 2 hours before the peloton arrives.

💖Be a responsible spectator

• Park your vehicle in the designated parking areas for the event
• Follow the designated pedestrian paths to the site. Do not stray from the marked trails or take shortcuts (one hiker cutting through the switchbacks saves a little time, but hundreds of hikers contribute significantly to erosion).
• Respect the local flora and fauna.
• Take your trash with you; do not litter. DO NOT LITTER CIGARETTE BUTTS (airtight containers are available at the tourist office reception desks).
• Keep your dog under control and on a leash.
• Respect fences and grassy areas.

🧢Recommended Gear

• Sturdy, high-top hiking boots, warm clothing, and rain gear.
• A hat or cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
• Water, a few granola bars, or dried fruit.
• A fully charged cell phone.
• A first-aid kit.
• Optional: a pair of hiking poles.

🚸Information for Residents

• If possible, avoid traveling on July 25
• For business owners: Plan deliveries to high-altitude areas in advance (very difficult on July 24, impossible on July 25).
• Plan your trips up to La Plagne well in advance on event days to get to work (traffic control by the gendarmerie is very likely to begin earlier than the announced times).
• Uphill parking: Designatedparking lots for business and professional visitors to Plagne Villages and Plagne Soleil have been identified in the higher elevations to compensate for the usual parking lots being reserved for the event.
• Access to La Plagne: Barriers will be installed at each intersection to secure the race routes (with additional marshals at these points on the day of the event). Residents must set up and remove these barriers themselves to gain access to their homes. It is strongly recommended that you post your own signs near your home to reserve your parking spots.
