On Friday, July 25, 2025, the Tour de France arrives in La Plagne! What if this was the perfect time to plan a week's vacation in the mountains? On D-Day, immerse yourself in the crazy atmosphere of a stage finish, without the stress of having to fight for access to the best spots, as close as possible to the riders and the Tour caravan. And the days before? Turn the lexical field of the world's greatest cycling race on its head for a freewheeling holiday that's both sporty and festive!

Sunday, July 20, 2025: L'Étape du Tour (16,000 amateurs pave the way for the pros!)

It's been a tradition since 1993: a few days before the pro riders take to the road, thousands of amateur cyclists have the chance to take on one of the stages of the Tour de France, under the same conditions as their illustrious role models (on roads closed to traffic).

This year, the route of the 19th stage of the Tour de France awaits the 16,000 registered cyclists: 131 km of mountain roads between Albertville and La Plagne, via the Col des Saisies, Beaufort, the Col du Pré, Cormet de Roselend and Bourg-Saint-Maurice (a total of 4,500 m of positive vertical drop!).

The arrival of 16,000 "bicycles" at Plagne Centre (after a fierce battle on the 24 bends of the final 19.1-km climb) promises to be spectacular as well as moving for these Grande Boucle enthusiasts, their families, friends, and all the supporters who have come to cheer them on!

Program for the day ahead (entertainment, riders' arrival...)

Monday, July 21, 2025: take your "team-mates" on a rafting trip.

Have you been inspired by the pride of amateur racers crossing the finish line? Take on a challenge of your own by rafting down the Isère rapids. rafting! Put on your wetsuit, grab a paddle and climb aboard the inflatable boat with your little tribe (the activity is accessible to children aged 8 and over - or even 6 for the "Baby Raft"). All you have to do is blindly follow the advice of your guide, an expert in the bubbling waters that flow down the Tarentaise valley (and enjoy the refreshing splashes... without going overboard!).

Tuesday, July 22, 2025: who will be the best rock-climber?

You don't need a polka-dot jersey to take up rock-climbing with your family! While the Tour de France racers are tackling Mont Ventoux, take to the heights with a mountain guide on the cliffs of La Plagne and the surrounding area.

Rochers des Bourtes and de l'Arpette, Notre-Dame-du-Pré school cliff, Séloge cliff... You'll learn the rudiments of climbing in complete safety (how to equip yourself properly, how to tie a figure-of-eight knot, how to belay your partner with a self-locking system) and progress on the rock at your own pace. First, you'll do a moulinette (i.e. hang on to a rope from the top of a small cliff); then, you'll do a lead climb (i.e. pass the rope through a series of carabiners as you progress vertically). An addictive challenge!

Is the weather fickle, or do you just want to get started gradually? Head for Rêve de blocs, the indoor climbing gym in Aime-la-Plagne (valley).

Ages 5 and up.

Wednesday, July 23, 2025: everyone in a (swim)suit!

The Tour de France's professional sprinters are mentally preparing to unleash the horses on this flat day (Bollèle > Valence). Excitement far removed from your concerns: today, it's pool & chill!

Get your swimsuit wet (literally) at theEspace Paradisio in Montchavin (we love its outdoor area with play pool, pentagliss and splashpad) or at the Magic Pool in Plagne Bellecôte (perfect for a succession of laps in the sun... on your back to enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains!)

Thursday, July 24, 2025: a big loop (to find the best spot for tomorrow)

The Tour de France riders are slowly approaching La Plagne (today's program: the Col de la Loze!). It's high time to do some scouting to find THE spot that will offer you tomorrow's show you've been waiting for.

High up, to see Pocagar, Vingegaard or Van der Poel coming from afar? In the valley, to be ruffled as the peloton passes? On the climb up to La Plagne, to give the riders a boost of energy just before the finish line? Take a look at the map of the hiking trails (or ask the tourist advisors at the various tourist office reception desks), then put on your sneakers with an eye to the 5,500 m of positive ascent that the Little Queen pros will be climbing today...

Rest assured, no one expects you to do the same (and that's just as well, because you'll need the energy to polish up your cheering signs when you get back from your ride).

Friday, July 25, 2025: Arrival of the 19th stage of the Tour de France

It's the big day! The riders arrive! On the program (for them): 130 km of asphalt, 4,500 m of positive vertical drop, 4 cols (including the Col du Pré and the Cormet de Roselend), and a demanding final ascent of 19.1 km winding through 24 bends to an altitude of 2,052 m.
