On Sunday July 20, 2025, l'Étape du Tour invites some 16,000 amateur cyclists to tackle the same course as the champions, on roads entirely closed to traffic. This legendary cyclosportive race allows enthusiasts to test their endurance and measure themselves against the demanding terrain of Savoie. The ascent of the 24 bends of La Plagne and the finish in Plagne Villages is one of the highlights of this 2025 edition.
Please note : the RN90 initially announced as closed between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Bellentre will be closed between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Aime. Detour via D86 recommended.
⚠️Eviter, if possible, all travel on July 20
⛔ The RN90 will be closed between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Aime from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
🔁 Recommended detour: via the D86 via Les Chapelles, Valezan, La Côte d'Aime, to bypass the RN90, then re-enter at Aime (in both directions).
Traffic to/from high-altitude sites
⚠️ Access regulated by the gendarmerie: early regulations possible in the morning.
⛔Ascentto La Plagne: road closed from 10am to 8pm (from Macot roundabout)
Descent from high altitude sites to the valley: from 7am to 8pm (installation of race equipment on the D221 road preventing two-way traffic).
🚫 Closure to all vehicles: Plagne Villages from Saturday July 19 at 5pm to Sunday July 20 at 8pm
