A danced and drawn tale focusing on the emblematic supernatural figure of Slavic folk tales: Baba Yaga.
In the heart of the forest, perched on chicken feet, a colorful house appears and disappears. If you come across it, here's the formula: "Isba, little Isba, turn your back on the forest and your door towards me!" Just be careful! You're entering Baba Yaga's home. Woe betide you if you conceal evil intentions from this powerful witch! If, on the other hand, you reveal a pure heart to her, she might just help you...

A frightening witch, sometimes an ogre, sometimes a guardian angel, she features in over 400 folk tales and songs, including a version illustrated by Ivan Bilibine: Vassilissa la très belle. Intrigued by this ambiguous character with her curious attributes, and inspired by Bilibine's illustrations, Astrid Boitel and Guillaume Trouillard offer a family tale in which drawing and storytelling are poetically interwoven.
