A fun walk that will plunge you into the history of this manmade waterway though unspoiled natural surroundings. A cool walk!
The Grand Bief trail was created on the initiative of the village school in collaboration with the Office Nationale des Forêts and the local authorities in Aime la Plagne.
As you follow the trail, you will rediscover moments of local history, strongly marked by man and his natural environment.
Start from Prachanié car park above Granier.
1/ Go towards Combe Bénite, the trail starts 70m further along on your right.
2/ Follow the 12 information boards along the Grand Bief trail through Granier forest and along the irrigation canal that used to be called a "Bief".
3/ When you get to the last board, take the same route back, or follow the forest track to complete a circuit.
