For experienced runners who like long, wild rides! The most beautiful parts of the Champagny-en-Vanoise trails are covered during these races, taking participants up the slopes and ridges facing the Vanoise peaks.
The Champagny-en-Vanoise Tourist Office is organising the 38th edition of the Trails Alpins du Grand Bec (TAGB).

These popular races have become a summer staple in Tarentaise.
The Trails Alpins du Grand Bec are running races on tracks and trails in forests and mountain pastures. Established over 30 years ago, these trails are approved by the French Athletics Federation and registered with the ITRA and UTMB Index.

NEW since 2025 - The Vallaisonnay Trail invites runners to venture onto challenging alpine trails, close to the Vanoise National Park. With a passage at the Golet de la Vallaisonnay at an altitude of 2,796 m, the panorama is remarkable. On the menu: 41.45 km and 3,019 m of elevation gain through hamlets, mountain pastures, ridges and high mountains.

- The Trail de la Vélière offers an immersion in the most beautiful trails of Champagny-en-Vanoise. The race starts in the heart of the village for a 30 km adventure with 2,000 m of elevation gain, reaching a peak of over 2,500 m and crossing a ridge of more than 2 km. A spectacular mountain course offering magnificent views of the iconic peaks of the Vanoise.

- The Mont de la Guerre Trail, which is more accessible, completes the range of events. This 15.8 km route with 1,033 m of elevation gain winds through forests and mountain pastures before revealing a superb viewpoint over Champagny-en-Vanoise and the impressive Grand Bec.

- The Grand Bec hike is for those who prefer to take their time admiring the landscapes of the Vanoise.
Accessible to children aged 6 and over, this hike crosses the six hamlets of Champagny-en-Vanoise. It is an ideal format for a leisure outing, marked out on tracks and trails, to be shared with the family.
On the programme: 7.79 km and 531 m of elevation gain.
