The Vélière Trail awaits mountain runners built for this demanding and unusual race: a real mountain race with 1860m of positive vertical drop, offering an amazing and varied landscape.
After a start in the resort centre, the runners climb towards the Mont de la Guerre to the Bozelet chalet before beginning a fine ascent to the summit of the Pointe de la Vélière. This is followed by a magnificent ridge section to the Col de la Bauche de Mio before descending to the Champagny-le-Haut valley and finishing with a beautiful descent to the village of Champagny-le-Bas.
Distance: 30 km - 2000 m D+ (altitude gain)
There is also a 15.8km route, which is faster and more rolling, but just as beautiful. This route will allow you to discover the beauty and wildness of the Champagny area.
