The Grand Banquet is an opportunity to meet the artists in residence at La Plagne as part of the Campagne Première festival over a lavishly set table.
For the past two years, the Grande Plagne Tourist Office and the Campagne Première association have been developing a partnership focused on contemporary art and the promotion of rural areas.
Driven by the conviction that art and culture are powerful drivers of social, ecological, and civic development, the two partners are working to make artistic creation accessible to everyone. This collaboration features artists whose sensitive and socially engaged approaches explore our relationship with heritage, landscapes, and local craftsmanship.
Through artist residencies, participatory workshops, and several public presentations, this initiative pursues a dual goal: to raise awareness of contemporary art among residents and visitors while highlighting the region’s cultural and heritage riches.
The highlight of this program will be a “Grand Banquet,” held on Friday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. on the steps of the Basilica of Saint-Martin in Aime. This evening will invite the public to discover the works created during the workshops led by artists Marguerite Soulier and Pierre Boggio in the region.
A second presentation will take place in late June in Champagny-en-Vanoise with artist Eve Pietruschi.
Conceived as a true artistic experience, “Le Grand Banquet” will foster a dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation. Through this encounter, artists and participants will explore our shared heritage: how are younger generations reclaiming this heritage? What legacy do they wish to pass on to future generations?
With ceramicist Pierre Boggio, students at Jovet Middle School explored traditional techniques inspired by ancient craftsmanship. Through working with clay and ceramics, they were able to experience a millennia-old artisanal craft while giving free rein to their imagination.
For her part, Marguerite Soulier develops a sensitive approach to materials and living things. During workshops held in libraries throughout the La Plagne Tarentaise region, participants discovered traditional felting techniques. Through a series of gestures and textures, these textile creations take shape as unique, colorful, and organic works, displayed inside the Basilica of Saint-Martin.
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the “Banquet of Stories” will be held to mark the opening of Festiv’été. This event will highlight the exchanges, workshops, and encounters led by artist Eve Pietruschi throughout the region, followed by a special opportunity for dialogue with the public.
On this occasion, Eve Pietruschi will take over the Saint-Clair Chapel in Champagny-le-Haut with “Les Carnets d’Eve,” an in situ exhibition inviting visitors to take a fresh look at the landscape and its apparent stillness. Through a sensitive and contemplative approach, the artist reveals the subtle poetry of life and creates a space conducive to escape and immersion.
The 2026 edition of Campagne Première in La Plagne will offer a sensitive and multifaceted exploration of contemporary art, heritage, and the region’s natural landscapes.
Three exhibitions will be presented throughout the summer:
“Les Carnets d’Eve” — Eve Pietruschi, Chapelle Saint-Clair, Champagny-le-Haut, July 1–September 18, 2026, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
