The Trail Pieds Légers is organising a presentation, discussion and FAQs session: “Would I be better off not running?”
This trail race is a tribute to the Tarahumara people. It is organized in partnership with the Champagny Town Hall and the Tourist Office.
Program:
Tuesday, July 21:
- 8:30 PM at the community hall: Screening of the film Goshen about the Tarahumara people (never before shown in Europe) | Registration required
Wednesday, July 22:
- 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM: Huarache-making workshop and sale at Chalet Akasha - 274 Route de Bozel - Champagny-en-Vanoise | Registration required
- 8:30 PM at the community hall: Presentation, discussion, and Q&A: “Should I really not be running?” | Registration required
Thursday, July 23:
- Pieds Légers Trail Run: Two courses: the long trail (12 km and 1,100 m elevation gain, in huaraches with official timing) and the mixed discovery trail (5 km and 400 m elevation gain, option to wear shoes or sandals) | Registration required
You will be entirely on your own during the race. Be sure to bring water, food, and gear in case of bad weather.
The TPL is a friendly, unofficial event. The Tarahumara Spirit association accepts no liability in the event of an accident.
