8é "Les Diables Bleus" ski touring race

On Saturday, March 23, 2024, La Plagne Montchavin-Les Coches resort is organizing its 8th "Les diables bleus" ski mountaineering race (Challenge d'Ussel / Garcia).
This competition will take place on the former training course of the 8th
bataillon des Chasseurs Alpins (les diables bleus).

3 races :

- Solo race (17 years and over) on a 6.300km course (1000D+) with a start at Les Coches (1440 m altitude), a passage to the high point (2340 m altitude) and a descent partly off-piste to Les Coches.

- Duo race (17 years and over) by team over a course of 6.300km (1000D+) with a start at Les Coches (1440 m altitude), a passage to the high point (2340 m altitude) and a descent partly off-piste to Les Coches.
Please note: the 2 competitors in the duo must cross the finish line together.

- Small solo course (from 13 years) of 4km (450D+) with a start at Les Coches (1440 m altitude), a passage to the high point at Plan Bois (1820 m altitude) and a descent down the Mont-Blanc piste (blue piste) to Les Coches.

Race number collection from 7:30 a.m.
Mass start at 9 a.m.
Discovery run starts immediately afterwards
Registration with limited places only through the booking link until Friday, March 22, 2024 at 5pm.
On Saturday, March 16, registration possible on site from 7:30 a.m. (please bring your own insurance) - Payment by cheque or cash on site.

Prize-giving ceremony: solo - duo

Each competitor must be equipped with a DVA (Détecteur de Victime
probe, survival blanket and helmet (climbing helmet permitted).

Competitors must hold a FFME or CAF license, or a medical certificate

Discovery trail :
- Short course (from 13 years) of 4km (450D+) with a start at Les Coches (1440 m altitude), a passage to the high point at Plan Bois (1820 m altitude) and a descent on the Mont-Blanc trail (blue trail) to Les Coches.
No medical certificate is required, but helmets are compulsory and participants must have insurance.

Please note: no insurance will be sold on site on the day of registration".

- Grand parcours (17 years and over) on a 6.300km course (1000D+) with a start at Les Coches (altitude 1440 m), a passage to the high point (altitude 2340 m) and a descent on the piste to Les Coches (time barrier at Plan Bois at 11 a.m.). Beware of technical sections on the route. A good command of conversions is recommended.
No medical certificate required, but helmets and insurance are mandatory.

Rando Challenge organized by La Plagne, which will reward
the 3 best men and women having participated in at least 3 races:
- Montée des Raveillus (Champagny en Vanoise) on 11/03/2023
- La Course des Dahus (Montalbert) on 28/01/2023
- Les Diables Bleus (Montchavin-Les Coches) on 23/03/2024
- Triface (Plagne Centre) on 25/03/2023.
