Downhill mountain biking is a sport that consists of of riding specially created mountain trails with an exclusively downhill profile.
What is Enduro mountain biking?
Enduro is a mountain bike discipline that started in the 2000s and which comes from motorcycling combining elements of downhill and cross-country mountain biking. The trails are mostly downhill and mainly natural, far from the Bike Park's prepared tracks.
Our resort villages and the Tarentaise region offer one of France's best biking playgrounds. The ELPRO Mountain Bike School allows you to discover part of it in its downhill sessions that cater to all levels: half-day and/or full day, including the logistics (vehicle and trailer) specially designed for this practice.
MTB single descent format:
ELPRO's Valley Descent is a unique experience over 18 kilometres and 1500 metres elevation drop. Simon Masi will show you the best single tracks from Bellecôte to the valley.
Double Valley Descent format:
Are you a mountain biker or regular athlete? Come and ride with our state-qualified instructor (member of the Moniteurs Cycliste Français) from the ski slopes of La Plagne's Paradiski ski area to the Tarentaise valley!
This half day session takes you down to the valley twice via two itineraries specially selected by your instructor to link rolling and more technical single tracks to observe the magnificent panoramas of the Mont Blanc Massif and the Beaufortain.
No less than 3000 meters of elevation drop over 50 kilometres of descent through superb trails facing the most beautiful Savoyard mountains.
Triple Valley Descent format:
For the sportiest and the biggest Enduro and downhill mountain bike enthusiasts, our instructor will guide you right to the end of the day with a dedicated route! The programme includes a climb of between 250 and 400 metres elevation gain depending on the route chosen by our mountain bike guide, followed by a descent where you ride down a new route full of surprises from the peaks to the valley! The ride ends with a descent of over 20 kilometres to join one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe (for kayakers): the Isère.
