Snowshoeing

La Plagne is well-known as a ski area, but you should also know that our snowshoeing is an ecotourism activity that probably isn't quite what you'd expect.

The diversity of natural environments in La Plagne is remarkable, excursions are different every day, always offering new pleasures and tailored to meet your individual needs.
The program begins with an initial get-together on the Sunday and continues with an introductory "warm up". Excursions during the week allow you to travel wander in a wide variety of worlds from day to day: through forests, over ridges, along the banks of brooks and streams, through canyons, in the wonderful pine forest ecosystem of the "cembraie sur gypsum" (a landscape unique to this part of the world!). Nocturnal outings involving igloos and flaming torches, discovering lost villages, spying wild animals, and more....
Several options are open to you, ranging from simple, beautiful discovery to aspects of the snowy mountain that are sometimes hidden and intimate: its landscapes; its animal tracks; observing chamois and ibex at close quarters through binoculars or a telescope; the sharing of a fondue in the chalet of a friendly shepherd; a family outing under the stars.
We warned you, didn't we? There's a lot more to snowshoeing than you might imagine.
For safety reasons, and to ensure quality of service, on certain outings, groups are limited to 8 people and will never exceed 15, in accordance with the recommendations of our professional body.
