Discovery walk: meet Julien, a passionate goatherd in Champagny-le-Haut
Champagny en Vanoise
Find out moreTo see things from above, let's climb the forest path towards the Lécheron mountain pasture. Along the way, in the spring territory of the ibex, Julien and his goats are waiting for us to talk about his life as a shepherd in the mountains.
Between discovering the forest environment and observing the landscape of a glacial valley, there's plenty to feast your eyes on. But above all there's the chance to meet Julien and his herd, which is the aim of the ascent to the mountain pasture, with plenty to talk about and a delicious cheese tasting to boot! This outing is organised by a mountain guide in collaboration with the Facim Foundation and the Champagny-en-Vanoise tourist office.
This mountain pasture outing takes place in Champagny le Haut. This is a hike that requires appropriate equipment for a total duration of 3 hours; bring clothing for the altitude (from 1500 to 1800m), wind- and rainproof clothing, hiking boots, hat, sunglasses and sun cream. For children aged 8 and over.
