Ski touring
Alpine skiing is a tried and tested discipline at La Plagne, but ski touring has also found its place in our Savoyard resort. With four events this winter, La Plagne is throwing down the gauntlet: be the king/queen of ski touring. Dry climbs, ski mountaineering races, mixed formats, you'll have plenty of opportunities to perform, no more, no less.
Are you up for the challenge?
Combe Bénite, Montalbert & Granier
20 and 21 January 2024
Supporting the French Cup for all categories and the French Youth Championship (U18 and U20), the event is being expanded over two days with two events: a brand new sprint race in Montalbert (20 January 2024) and the second (21 January 2024) in the original spirit of the discipline on the Versant du Soleil, high above the village of Granier (710 to 1,900 m D+). This rando race promises to be a lot of fun!
Les diables bleus, Montchavin-les Coches
March, 23th, 2024
6,3km course (1000 elev. gain) starting from Les Coches (altitude 1440 m), climbing to the highest point (altitude 2340 m).
A race that combines a climb and a descent on a marked off-piste itinerary. You can even make it a team effort on the longer course. A strong heart for the climb isn’t enough, you will need great thigh muscles to race back down!
The competitors will be following the old training course that used to be used by the 7th battalion of Mountain Infantry.
Triface, Plagne Centre
Saturday 30th March 2024
With a sunset start, Triface comprises three loops starting from Plagne Centre and taking in the peaks of Grande Rochette, Verdons and Bécoin! The only night race, its special features include a stop-and-go concept and the possibility of doing the race in a 3-person relay!
New for 2024: La Monface, dry ascent to Grande Rochette 500m D+ for 2.87km
Triface - 3 peaks: 504 m D+, 486 m D+ and 319 m D+, in total: 1309 m D+ for 6.42km ascent and 5.41km descent
