Join us on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at La Plagne Champagny-en-Vanoise to take part in our day of
OPERATION: ZERO WASTE MOUNTAIN!
La Plagne is committed to an ambitious goal: a zero-waste mountain by 2030! WHAT ABOUT YOU? To make your contribution, join us on 11 June.
Our aim? To take care of our mountains, to understand them better so that we can take action to reduce waste at source.

- 11am End of waste collection and characterisation with Mountain Riders at the top of the gondola.
- 11.30am: Workshops on homemade cosmetics (after-sun balm made from oatmeal jelly), the water cycle, manager products in the home.

WHAT IS CARAC'?
Characterisation enables a detailed analysis to be made of the waste collected: total weight, weight by type (plastic, wood, textiles, cardboard, metal, glass, rubber, other), monitoring of indicator waste (specific to tourist facilities, specific to local business activity, etc.). This will provide us with an accurate picture so that we can work on an action plan to reduce waste at source.
In practice: a scale and a large tarpaulin will enable us to characterise the waste collected, in a fun and good-humoured way!
-------------------------------------------------
RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT
In the interests of reducing waste, please bring your own gloves (gardening type) and carrier bags to take part.
We will provide additional equipment for those who do not have their own.
We advise you to bring trainers, mountain boots, fleece, cap, sunglasses, sun cream and a water bottle!
